I joined the Department in 1980 and retired  as Professor and Chair in August 2008. I taught classes in research methods and developmental psychology. Thirty-five graduate students completed their master’s theses under my supervision. My nationally recognized research programs in children’s memory development and neuropsychology yielded 45 research publications, 93 papers presented at scientific conferences, two books, eight book chapters and a variety of other publications.  I’m very proud of my lead article in the prestigious publication Advances in Child Development and Behavior and an invited address for the American Psychological Association. My scholarly activities were recognized by appointments to several editorial boards. CSUF was a great academic home.
