Welcome to our research team information page. Please review the qualifications and research assistant responsibilities described below. If you are interested in joining Dr. Mori's research team:

The following qualifications are preferred:

It is preferable (but not mandatory) that the following courses have been completed with an A or B: Psychology 101 (Introductory Psychology), 201 (Intro. Statistics), 202 (Research Methods in Psychology), and 300 (Computer Applications in Psychology).

Desirable personal characteristics include being mature, responsible, dependable, motivated, and interested in psychological research and/or in gaining applied psychological experience.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are very important. Clinical experience is a plus.

A strong work ethic, be able to work well independently and take initiative when appropriate, and be able to ask for assistance when needed.

Finally, preferred students will be strong team players, willing to pitch in and work as part of a unit to achieve group goals.

Research assistant duties are as follows:

There is a two semester commitment.

Students should plan on putting in 8 to 10 hours per week. The workload in the beginning of each semester is relatively light, but increases over the course of the semester.

Duties include data coding, data input, data checking, and data analysis. Additional responsibilities include running experimental trials, attending weekly (mandatory) research team meetings, and other miscellaneous research functions.

Research Ethics

All subject protocols are kept anonymous and are gathered for research purposes only.

Completed protocols are kept in a locked file cabinet in a locked lab room for security.

Only those individuals directly involved with the research studies will have access to the data.
