General Definition -- Negative emotional reaction to a real or perceived threat to a valued Relationship - complex emotion (anger/sadness/fear) - cultural issues B. Physical/social environmental framing of jealousy (Marelich 2002) -we use cues from the physical/social settings to help make sense of situations -- hence, interpretation of a jealous event is aided/hindered by the setting in which the event is embedded
