Welcome to “The Five Factor Model of Personality and Leisure Experience", a web-based research study that investigates the relationships between personality and leisure. Informed Consent


Purpose

The purpose of this research study is to investigate the relationships between the 5 factors of the Five Factor Model of Personality (Extraversion, Neuroticism, Conscientiousness, Agreeableness, and Openness to Experience) and Leisure Experience (Leisure Satisfaction, Leisure Attitude, and Leisure Motivation). Participating in this research study involves answering four questionnaires and answering some brief health and demographic questions. The time estimated for your participation in this study is approximately 20 minutes.

Risks and Benefits

By participating in this research study you will not be at any physical or psychological risk more than to be expected from every day life and should not experience any discomfort resulting from answering the questionnaires. If at any time during this study, you would like to discontinue your participation, you can simply close your Internet browser window. There are no direct benefits by participating in this research study, although, your contribution will help us better understand the inter-relationships between personality traits/factors and leisure.

Confidentiality

Every effort to keep all the information you provide during this study will be kept strictly confidential and anonymous, as required by law. Your responses are to be used strictly for research purposes only and are available only to those persons conducting the study. All information is kept on a secure, password-protected server. Any and all identifying information will be removed and discarded when the study is complete. Email addresses will be disassociated from submitted responses in order to maintain anonymity and confidentiality.
