Some people would prefer Gamble A because it has a fifty-fifty chance to WIN $100, whereas the most you can win in Gamble B is $20. Some people would prefer B because it has 70 tickets to win $20 and the most one can lose is $50, whereas in Gamble A, there is a fifty-fifty chance to LOSE $100. Sometimes both gambles are good, sometimes both are bad, and sometimes the gambles are mixed. In all cases, you should choose the one you would rather play, if you have to make a choice.
