On the floor of the Valley, below Mürren, we board a cable car for a ride to Schilthorn Mountain (2970 meters/9750 feet). The route consists of four segments. Upon completing a segment, we change to another car, which is timed to be at the station shortly after we arrive. Below, you see a car on its way up from the Valley floor. It appears tiny against the massive cliff, but it is large enough to hold forty people.
