This is Prague Castle, a complex of palaces, courtyards, gardens, moats, and churches. Towering above it all is the gothic, St. Vitus Cathedral.
These are some of the many bridges across the Vltava River. Our next stop is the landmark Charles Bridge, a busy, 15th-century promenade with a carnival atmosphere, bordered by statues and guarded by towers at each end.
This is the main route up to the castle. As we pass under the arch and make our way up the hill, we encounter a modernistic surprise.
