The Latest and Greatest with the PDSA

• Kick-off Party

  Date of Event: 16 FEB 12

  Just like last year we are having our kick-off party at the bowling lanes in the TSU. Free pizza,soda and bowling. This is the first event of the semester and is worth 2 points! We will have a schedule of events written down for you to take home for reference. Shirts will also be available in small quantities for immediate sale. Sizes will be in LRG. Come by and see what PDSA is all about. If you are a returning member, come and see what's new!

• Movie Night

  What better way to sit and relax with your club members than to watch a good ol' movie? We will be watching "The Experiment (2010)". Bring your own popcorn and soda please. We will have a brief discussion on the psychological aspects of the movie after it has concluded. Earn your 2 points while relaxing a bit.

• NAMI Walk

  Date of Event: 01 OCT 11

  Our NAMI walked kicked butt last year so we will be doing it again. Who knows, maybe it'll rain for us like last year! We will be meeting under our big ol' banner at 7AM. We don't have exact details but the walk should start at 8ish. It is a 3 mile walk on the boardwalk in Huntington Beach. Come by for your 2 points and to have a blast walking for a good cause. • GRE Prep

  Date of Event: 7 MAR 12

  Princeton review will be here from 5:30pm-7:30pm to give tips and hints to passing the GRE.

• Bake Sale

  Date of Event: 14 MAR 12

  Show your support for the psychology department by buying some tasty goodies to help fund psych day! We will be in the Titan walk from 11-1pm. Baked goods will be .50 per item. See you there!

• End of Year Awards Ceremony

  Date of Event: 11 MAY 12

  It will be in the Ontiveros Rooms where our awards ceremony was last Spring. Festivities start at 6pm and will conclude at 8pm. We will be giving out certificates and handing out cords for those who purhased them and the new oficers will be introduced.

• PDSA Participation Point System

  The way participation works in PDSA is simple. You earn one point for every meeting you attend. You also earn two points for every event you attend. At the end of each semester we tally up the points. If you earn at least 50% of the points, you will receive a certificte for being an active member. If you earn 75% of the points you will receive a certificate for honor membership.

• PDSA T-shirts

  The shirts have been completely redesigned from last year. Along with our new colors, your PDSA officers have come up with what we think is a pretty cool design. The cost of the t-shirt is $15. Be the talk of the school with this eccentric shirt. Buy them now before we run out! Come on, you know you want one.

  For the spring 2012 term we will be meeting at the end of each month in the President's Room, inside the TSU at 6:30PM.
