Air Ports Convenient to Fullerton, California
For those who will arrive by air, the four nearest air ports are Long Beach (LGB), Orange County
(SNA, also known as John Wayne Airport, or Santa Ana), Ontario (ONT, be sure you specify
Ontario, CALIFORNIA!), and LAX (Los Angeles International). Long Beach, Orange County, and
Ontario are closer than LAX, which is about one hour away by car. Long Beach, Ontario,
and Orange County (Santa Ana) airports are all about 30 min. by car.
The best way to get from any of these airports to the hotel,
aside from renting a car, is by means of the Super Shuttle service.
Be sure to specify that you want to go to the HOTEL near the campus, rather than to the campus itself,
because shuttle fares to hotels are lower than fares to universities, even though both are
at virtually the same location. Be sure to specify the hotel at Cal State Fullerton, as there are
several hotels in Southern California with the same or similar names.
Taxis in Southern California are expensive and distances are great, so you are not advised
to use taxis, unless you are as rich as Bill Gates, or can share a ride with Bill. It is a good idea with any
ground transportation in Southern California to agree on the price before taking the ride.
Directions to the Receptions and Meeting Room for Edwards Bayesian Conference:
Thursday evening: please come to the reception, 6-9 pm. Please
check at the front desk for directions.
FRIDAY MEETING ROOM: We will meet from 9am -5pm Friday in SGMH-1313. SGMH stands
for Steven G. Mihaylo Hall (school of Business and Economics). This is the new building on campus just
West of the Fullerton Marriott hotel (lower right hand corner of the campus map below).
From the Holiday Inn Hotel, turn left as you leave the front door of the hotel, and walk North to
Nutwood Dr. Turn West (left) on Nutwood toward the freeway; go under the
freeway and cross Nutwood carefully at one of the signals.
On Nutwood Drive, just west of the freeway, the building west of
the Marriott Hotel on the North side of Nutwood is SGMH (Mihaylo Hall), the
building with the curved front.
To find SGMH-1313: Enter the building at the South-East corner.
You will see a lounge/study area with a Starbucks coffee shop on your right. Go past the coffee shop
and turn right down the hall. SGMH 1313 is down the hall on the right.

SATURDAY MEETING ROOM: We meet in SGMH-1506 on Saturday. To find 1506, as you enter the building,
go past the coffee shop, then continue straight across the small courtyard,
past the statue of Stephen G. Mihaylo (he is sitting on a bench on your right),
and make a right turn into the building. SGMH 1506 is the first classroom on your
left.

Generic Driving Directions to CSUF:
From LAX Southern route: Take the 91 Freeway
East Toward Riverside. Transition to the 57 Freeway, North toward Pomona. Exit
the 57 Freeway at Nutwood Ave. Turn West on Nutwood Ave (You will turn left
on Nutwood). You will see the campus ahead on your right as you pass under the freeway,
on Nutwood.
From Long Beach: Take the 22 Freeway East. Transition to the 57 Freeway North
toward Pomona at the intersection of the 22, 5 and 57 Freeways. Pay close attention
to the signs to get the 57 North. You should exit
the 57 Freeway at Nutwood Ave. Turn West on Nutwood (left).
From Los Angeles Central Route: Take the 5 freeway (Santa Ana) South toward
San Diego. Transition to the 91 Freeway East Toward Riverside. Transition to
the 57 Freeway, North toward Pomona. Exit the 57 Freeway at Nutwood Ave.
Turn West on Nutwood Ave (left).
From Los Angeles, Valleys, Pasadena: Northern Routes: Take ANY of these
freeways East: 134/210 OR the 10 Freeway toward San Bernadino, OR the 60 Freeway
toward Riverside. Transition to the 57 Freeway South toward Orange. Exit at
Nutwood Drive. Turn West on Nutwood (right).
From Irvine, San Diego: Southern Routes: Take 405 to the 5 freeway transition
toward Santa Ana (North), transition to the 57 Freeway North toward Pomona. OR you can
take the 405 to the 55 freeway north to 5 Santa Ana Freeway North to 57 Freeway
toward Pomona. Turn West on Nutwood Ave (left).
Driving Directions to the Visitors Kiosk at CSUF:
Exit the 57 Freeway at Nutwood Ave. Turn West on Nutwood. Drive past the
Marriott hotel (On your right) and past the main entrance to campus.
Continue to State College Blvd. Turn right at the corner of State College Blvd,
and right again on Arts Drive. You will be
coming back East, parallel to Nutwood. The visitors kiosk should be
visible. They can provide parking information, permits (1 day permit is $5), maps, information on
handicapped access and parking, and other directions. This kiosk is marked with "i" in a circle on
the map below. There should also be a permit machine located there, for times when no attendant is on duty.
Visitors to the Marriott hotel can park free at the hotel.
You can buy all-day parking permits at the visitor's kiosk. Tell them
where our group will be meeting and ask for the nearest parking.
Information about the Holiday Inn Hotel
The Holiday Inn hotel is just South of Nutwood Ave just East of the 57
(Pomona) Freeway. It is close to the corner of Nutwood and Placentia Ave.
