This study presents data on the Chinese Negative Mood Regulation Scale (NMR-C). The scale shows evidence of reliability and validity. Two studies assessed NMRE, coping and affective consequences in China. Study 1 participants were college students. Study 2 participants were prison police. In Study 2, NMRE moderated the effect of job stress on police officer's job engagement.
