Mental Wellness
Care Services are needed when students experience distress that hinders them academically, emotionally, behaviorally, or physically. While many students cope with normal college related pressures and demands successfully, a significant number of students have difficulties which interfere with their performance. Our goal is to provide exemplary programs and services designed to support students' academic and personal success.
Counseling and Psychological Services
Counseling and Psychological Services (C.A.P.S) strives to help students achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals. Counselors can help students improve coping skills, navigate the college transition, recover from traumatic experiences, and engage in self - exploration. C.A.P.S offers brief counseling, psychiatric services, referrals, crisis intervention, and workshops to eligible CSUF students. In addition, CAPS is home to an APA - accredited Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology for doctoral - level graduate students in clinical and counseling psychology programs.
Tuffy’s Basic Needs Services Center identifies and serves students who are experiencing an unforeseen hardship, emergency, crisis, or catastrophic life event. The resources offered by this comprehensive endeavor are designed to promote wellness and enable students to complete their education at California State University, Fullerton.
